Muscat, 4 May, 2023: Omantel, the leading provider of integrated telecommunication services in the Sultanate of Oman, has concluded its 4th edition of Omantel Champions Tournament, with this edition being centred around one of the most popular video games, Fortnite. The competition showcased a wide range of Omani video game talents, with 530 gamers competing for the championship.

This edition had extra significance as it was the first one since cementing of a partnership between Omantel and PlayHera platform. The collaboration marked the launch the first E-sports platform of its kind in Oman, providing an online platform for Omani gamers to compete in gaming tournaments, connect with fans, collaborate and finding a home to showcase their talents.

The tournament featured a large number of Oman-based gaming fans of all age groups, showcasing their talent, skills and expertise and competing for top prizes, as Ahmad Hamed Al Rawas came 1st, Firas Abdul Majid Al Balushi 2nd ,and in the 3rd place Adnan Mansour Al Balushi.

This event highlighted the amazing benefits of Omantel’s partnership with PlayHera, a leader in e-sports and gaming tournament. The selection of Fortnite as the star of the tournament was very apt, as the game is very popular with Oman’s gaming community.
