Muscat, 18 June 2022 - Omantel will host on the 22^nd of this month its fourth webinar under the theme “5G and 4iR”. The webinar aims at introducing 5G technology, its potentials, and its impacts on the telecom sector and consumers.

Omantel, the first to introduce 5G technology in the Sultanate, is hosting a series of 5 webinars to focus on this frontier digital technology and the benefit it will bring to individuals and corporates. The first webinar, “5G Beyond Speed”, was held on November 23, 2021. The second webinar was held on March 9, 2022 under the topic “5G…Unlocking new potentials” and the 3^rd webinar was held on May 25th. The interaction with the three webinars has been overwhelming and witnessed the participation of a large number of IT&C official at public and private organizations, academicians, journalists and digital media influencers.

The 4^th webinar will host speakers who will share their ideas, strategies and experience about the latest developments provided by 5G. Dr. Yousuf Al Hinai, GM of ICT at Omantel Enterprise BU, will be speaking on the use of 5G and 4iR in the Educational sector, while Dr. Haytham Al Hajri, expert in Cybersecurity, will focus on how the 5G will enhance the role of Cybersecurity.
