استقبلت عمانتل الأسبوع الماضي وفدا إعلاميا من دول عربية وخليجية في جناحها بميدان مهرجان صلالة السياحي الذي يزور السلطنة تزامنا مع الاحتفالات بيوم النهضة المباركة، وقد أطلع الإعلاميون عند زيارتهم للجناح على تجربة حية للسرعات الهائلة لتقنية الجيل الخامس (5G) والمزايا المتعددة التي ستقدمها هذه التقنية عند تدشينها تجاريا في السلطنة.

مواصلة لدورها الاجتماعي، نظمت عمانتل النسخة الخامسة من مبادرة "عمانتل والأوائل" بمحافظة جنوب الباطنة بولاية الرستاق بمشاركة 30 شخصا من كبار السن من الجنسين بهدف تدريبهم وتعريفهم على التقنيات الرقمية الحديثة وذلك لتعزيز تواصلهم في المجتمع من خلال هذه التقنيات وجاءت هذه المبادرة بالتعاون مع جمعية " إحسان " .

في إطار الزيارة التي يقوم بها الوفد الإعلامي لمدينة الدقم، قامت "عمانتل" وبالتعاون مع شركة أريكسون بعرض تجربة حية لتقنية الجيل الخامس (5G) في شركة عمان للحوض الجاف وذلك تحت إشراف هيئة تنظيم الاتصالات للإعلاميين المشاركين في الزيارة التي تنظمها جمعية الصحفيين العمانية للمنطقة، بهدف استعراض وتجربة السرعات الهائلة التي تقدمها هذه التقنية ومواصلة التجارب الحية على التقنية كأول شركة اتصالات في السلطنة تقوم بإجراء تجارب حية على تقنية الجيل الخامس.

ضمن الجهود المبذولة لدعم التحول الرقمي وبناء كفاءات وقدرات الشباب العماني وإكسابهم المهارات التي يحتاجها سوق العمل ، أعلنت عمانتل عن اختتام البرنامج التدريبي المتكامل الذي أطلقته الشركة ضمن استراتيجيتها في المسؤولية الاجتماعية بالتعاون مع شركة هواوي العالمية المتخصصة في تكنولوجيا الشبكات بهدف تدريب 100 خريج من تخصصات تقنية المعلومات والاتصالات من جامعة السلطان قابوس والجامعة الألمانية للتكنولوجيا وكلية كالدونيان الهندسية.

في إطار مشاركتها في مهرجان صلالة السياحي هذا العام، كشفت "عمانتل" عن أولى مفاجآتها حيث ستقوم بعرض تجربة حية لتقنية الجيل الخامس (5G) بإشراف من هيئة تنظيم الاتصالات سيتمكن من خلالها زوار المهرجان – ولأول مرة من استكشاف وتجربة السرعات الهائلة التي تقدمها هذه التقنية. وسوف تنفذ التجربة الحية يوميا ابتداء من اليوم (الخميس ) في جناح عمانتل بمركز البلدية الترفيهي في سهل أتين.

Ten students have been announced winners in the third round of ‘Omantel Olympics for Coding’, after successfully solving detailed coding and algorithms tasks.

استضافت عمانتل في مبناها الرئيسي بالموالح منافسات بطولة عمان للبلاستيشن البطولة الأكبر للألعاب الالكترونية في السلطنة بمشاركة 240 شاب من محترفي وهواة البلايستيشن قدموا من مختلف محافظات السلطنة للمشاركة في هذا الحدث الذي أقيم خلال الفترة  من  22_25 نوفمبر وذلك لمنافسات لعبة الفيفا وخلال الفترة من   29 نوفمبر إلى 1 ديسمبر لمنافسات ألعاب البيس، وقد تمكن اللاعب بسام اليوسفي من الفوز بلقب البطولة عن لعبة الفيفا بينما فاز اللاعب إبراهيم الهطالي بلقب البطولة في لعبة البيس.

شاركت عمانتل للمرة الثانية على التوالى في رعاية مسابقة ريد بُل قاهر التلال-كراعي رئيسي-  هذا الحدث السياحي الرياضي  الذي نظمته شركة ريد بُل العالمية يوم الجمعة الماضي في مسفاة العبرين بولاية الحمراء وبمشاركة واسعة من الهواة وشبه المحترفين من داخل السلطنة وخارجها في  ركوب الدراجات على الجبال والتلال.

Omantel has successfully completed its fourth edition of the “Omantel Wal Awael” program by training 30 elderly people on the use of modern technology. Omantel network was impacted by a technical fault on a network element sending conflicting data at mid-day Monday 17th November 2014. This has resulted in a total interruption of mobile services and partial interruption of fixed and internet services.
